Jem Sirrine is the PGA/ECR team lead for International Customs Clearance at FedEx Logistics in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been with the company for nearly three years and oversees essential aspects of shipment clearance. His role involves managing communication with government agencies, training new agents, and addressing issues with high-value shipments. He ensures that all shipments comply with regulations, resolves delays, and works to streamline the overall clearance process for greater efficiency.

Jem’s career began in athletic training as an intern with the Cleveland Indians in Winter Haven, Florida, after earning his Bachelor’s in Athletic Training from Appalachian State University. During this internship, he assisted with rehabilitating and treating player injuries across both minor and major leagues. After completing his internship, he became a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology.

In 2000, Sirrine worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Winter Park High School. He coordinated with the Head Athletic Trainer to cover all varsity and junior varsity sports, conducted pre-practice treatments, and supervised athletic training interns. He taught various Personal Health, Fitness, and Team Sports courses. Jem then moved to Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida, where he became Head Athletic Trainer. He managed 16 varsity sports there, oversaw the department’s budget, and collaborated with orthopedic surgeons to expand the Sports Medicine team. He also taught courses in Athletic Training, First Aid, and CPR.

Afterward, Sirrine worked at Bond Clinic in Winter Haven, where he helped grow the orthopedic department, establishing relationships with the local community and forming partnerships with schools. His duties included providing athletic training services, conducting patient evaluations, and managing insurance billing for the clinic’s Physical Therapy Department.

Jem’s next role was as Head Athletic Trainer at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, where he worked for 11 years. In this position, he managed a team of athletic trainers, handled the department’s budget, and worked on designing new training facilities. He also contributed to the university’s sports medicine program by recruiting medical professionals and implementing policies for student-athletes.
